Kendall Schmidt (voiceover): Last season on the DWTSGame, Glee star and singer Matthew Morrison and his first time professional partner, Joy Spears, defied the odds to win Season 6, making Matt the first man in well over a year to win the game!

Brittany Brannon (voiceover): This season, yet another talented, promising cast, full of many potential fan-favorites, hits the floor to end up like Matthew! Who will succeed in ruling the floor, and who won’t impress? Find out! LIVE! This is Dancing with the Stars!

The opening sequence is shown. Jan and Corky do an elegant spin. Dez and Kym do a fierce, sexy pose. Nicolas and Edyta spin and smile. Sofia and Alec twirl delicately. Fran and Tristan do a few quick cheeky moves. Joseph and Peta perform a spin-lift. We look down on Mariska and Tony from an above-view camera. Amber and Val do a hot and sultry pose. Jorma holds Joy in a Tango pose. Lindsey kicks her leg over Derek’s arm and leans forward. Kristen does a Cha-Cha spin with Maksim. The DWTSGame logo is then show.

Brittany: HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE SEASON 7 PREMIER OF THE DWTSGAME! I’m Brittany Brannon, and please welcome back our beloved host, Kendall Schmidt, finally back from his tour!
Kendall: Thank you, Brittany! It’s so great to be back! I have to say, last season was amazing. Everyone rocked and I’m so proud of Jennifer Aniston’s hosting job! She was phenomenal!
Brittany: We’re glad to have you back, Kendall, just as glad as we are to welcome… OUR SEASON 7 CONTESTANTS!

The stars come down the moving staircases in this order: Kristen Wiig, Lindsey Vonn, Jorma Taccone, Sasha Mitchell, Fran Drescher, Ryan Lane, Amber Heard, Jan Brewer, Melissa McCarthy, Clive Owen, Pitbull, Sofia Coppola, Dez Bryant, George Lucas, Nicki Minaj, Mariska Hargitay, Nicolas Cage, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Kendall: This cast just looks spectacular. If I were to call a winner just from looking, I would be so wrong by the end of the night! Haha! Which of these fine contestants is up first, Brittany?
Brittany: Well, Kendall, first up is the woman who has been making us laugh for years now as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, who has recently began to venture off into a hit film career, even writing the blockbuster, Bridesmaids! She is paired with our only professional to make three finales in a row. Will she get him to his fourth? Its actress and comedienne Kristen Wiig and her partner, Season 5 Champion, Maksim Chmerkovskiy!

In Kristen’s video, we see clips of her funniest characters from SNL, as well as clips from Bridesmaids and her years at The Groundlings. Maksim is excited to work with Kristen because he knows she can be very funny. Only hours into training, Kristen finds out how complicated learning to dance is. She gets comically frustrated when she cannot keep up with Maks. With time, though, Maks thinks Kristen has the routine down.

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Kristen Wiig and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Kristen is wearing a yellow Cha-Cha outfit; Maksim is in an unbuttoned yellow dress shirt. They dance to “All I Wanna Do” by Sheryl Crow. Once finished, they walk over to
Kendall.

Kendall: Great start to the season Kristen! And now, please welcome our new panel of judges… well, not particularly a new panel, but we’ve gotten a new judge and arranged the order of the panel… Anyways, judges, please tell us your comments, starting with new head judge, Natalie Sanders!
Natalie: Thanks Kendall! And WOW KRISTEN! For a funny lady, I wasn’t so sure you would dance well at all. But you really showed me up! You let loose, you had fun… My only criticism is that you were surprisingly off-time in a few of those solo areas. Keep up with Maks and then you’ll do great!
Tony: Well Kristen, I have to admit, I'm pleasantly surprised! Obviously it wasn't perfect, but you managed to put the right amount of sass in that Cha-Cha! Watch your arms and work on your footwork. For week 1, I'd say you're off to a great start!
Valerie: What a good start to the season! Kristen, you were fun, flirty, and I see some chemistry between the two of you! I'm incredibly excited to see what you give us in future weeks!
Kendall: Great first comments from our judges! Now go up to Brittany in the skybox for your scores! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Kristen and Maks arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! Now, Kristen, you’re known for being such a funny girl. How did it feel to let loose and get sexy? Haha!
Kristen: It was actually a huge switch up from what I’m used to doing, so I really enjoyed it! I love challenges!
Brittany: Alright! Well, let’s get your scores!

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

Valerie Hashburntar: 7
Natalie Sanders: 6
Tony Klespis: 6

TOTAL: 19/30

Brittany: 19 points! A great start to the season! Tons of room to improve in future weeks! Congrats. Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Next up tonight is the woman whose name has probably become synonymous with alpine competitive skiing, having won a total of four World Cups and many other major accomplishments during her career. Being paired with one of our most accomplished professionals, how well will she do once she trades in her skis for dance shoes? Let’s find out! Its professional skier Lindsey Vonn and her partner, Season 4 Champion Derek Hough!

In Lindsey’s video, we see many news-coverage clips and candid videos of her numerous ski competition wins. She tells us she is extremely nervous to be stepping onto the dancefloor. Derek hopes that this season, he can make it to the finals again, or hopefully win! When Lindsey and Derek meet, Derek is impressed by all of Lindsey’s achievements. Besides this, Lindsey is having some troubles mastering the rise-and-fall of the Waltz. After Derek goofs around with her a few times, they are confident that they will please.

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Lindsey Vonn and her partner, Derek Hough.

Lindsey is wearing a light pink Waltz dress; Derek is wearing a dark brown suit with pink tie. They dance to “Everything I Do, I Do It For You” by Bryan Adams. Once finished they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Wow! What a first dance from Lindsey and Derek! Judges, what did you think? Tony?
Tony: It’s only Week 1 and you produce a Waltz of that standard? Lindsey, that's going to take you far! It was very romantic; you really managed to connect with Derek. Your posture, however, was less than perfect. Just keep that in mind for your future ballroom dances.
Valerie: What a heartfelt routine, Lindsey! Derek, you choreographed this Waltz wonderfully, and I could see all the effort you put here. You could be here for a long time, guys!
Natalie: I really did admire how effortless you just made the transition from skiing to ballroom dancing look! I think your experience in the snow sort of helped you glide easier that some athletes in previous season. Great job!
Kendall: Great comments for your dance, guys! Please head on up to Brittany! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Lindsey and Derek arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks, K! Lindsey, I’m sure everyone’s asking you how this experience is different from your career as a skier, but I want to ask: what’s similar between the two?
Lindsey: Hmm… For lack of a better comparison, I’m gonna have to say the temperature! Haha! It’s freezing in here. Brrr!!!
Brittany: I totally agree with you, Linds! Well, it’s time to get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 21/30

Brittany: 21 points! A very deserved first score for you guys! Good luck for the rest of the competition! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks Brit! Next up tonight is one third of the highly hilarious comedy band, The Lonely Island. In addition to his band credits, he is also a sketch writer for Saturday Night Live, an actor from such films as Hot Rod, and the director of the funny film MacGruber! Paired with our professional reigning champion, will he show us that his dancing is no laughing matter? Its singer and comedy writer Jorma Taccone and his partner, reigning champion, Joy Spears!

In Jorma’s video, we see a plethora of clips from his appearance in films and on SNL. Jorma tells us he’s on the show to make a complete fool of himself, and he thinks he can accomplish that! Joy, the reigning champion, is coming off of her fresh new win with Matthew Morrison, and is out for the kill to get another trophy! Jorma and Joy get along great, but Joy has to do a lot to make their Cha-Cha presentable!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Jorma Taccone and his partner, Joy Spears.

Jorma is in a silver dress shirt with black vest; Joy is in a short silver outfit and has curly hair. They dance to “Another Night” by Real McCoy. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Don’t be so hard on yourself, Jorm! That was really fun to watch! Let’s see if the judges thought the same. Valerie?
Valerie: Sadly, I'm here to be honest, and tonight I wasn't impressed. It was disjointed and was all over the place, and not in a good way. Hopefully next week you will come back all guns blazing with a routine like no other, otherwise you have a sad chance of being one of the first four to go.
Natalie: I didn’t think it was bad, but I think you could’ve done better. But it’s just your first dance, so I won’t go too hard on you. I think Valerie is right. You need to make a smoother performance next week and really wow us!
Tony: Well Jorma, you lost timing quite a few times and the dance didn't really come together that well. You looked terrified most of the time. Next week I just want to see you loosen up and have fun, even if it is a ballroom dance!
Kendall: Ooh! Some rough comments. Well, please go up to Brittany for some scores! B?

Brittany begins talking as Jorma and Joy arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks, K! Haha! Jorma, I was wondering… having our reigning champion as your partner, did that put any pressure on you do you well?
Jorma: Nah, none at all… Well, maybe a bunch! Hah!
Brittany: Don’t worry, I’m sure you made Joy proud! Now let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

Valerie Hashburntar: 5
Natalie Sanders: 6
Tony Klespis: 5

TOTAL: 16/30

Brittany: 16 points! Yikes! Not the greatest, but I just know you can do even better next week! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks Brittany! Our next star may be a bit unknown to some of our younger audience members, but for those of you kids that were born in the 80’s, you’ll remember him as the scheming and conniving James Richard Beaumont on the final seasons of the hit soap opera, Dallas, and as the loveable teenager, Cody Lambert in Step-by Step. Paired with a very dedicated partner, will his Dallas charm turn into graceful dancing? Let’s see! Its television actor Sasha Mitchell and his partner Cheryl Burke!

In Sasha’s video, we see clips from his days on Dallas and Step-by-Step. Sasha says he’s probably well forgotten by the public by now, but wants to show everyone he should not be counted out! Cheryl says she’s been on the show long enough – it’s time for her trophy! When Cheryl meets Sasha, she laughs because she surprisingly knows who he is! After working with him, she learns Sasha is very driven and dedicated to mastering the Waltz.

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Sasha Mitchell and his partner Cheryl Burke.

Sasha is wearing a suit with dark red tie. Cheryl is wearing a white Waltz dress with her hair in a bun. They dance to “Fire and Rain” by James Taylor. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Great job, Mr. Mitchell! It was so cool to see you get so emotional on night one! Let’s get the judges’ verdict now. Natalie?
Natalie: Wowy-zowy! Cheryl, you’ve scored big this season! Believe it or not, based on this dance alone, I can see you making top 6 or so, at least! It was graceful, elegant, and tender – three things we rarely see from our male contestants on the first night. Great job!
Tony: Woo! I think I might have just gotten my first man crush of Season 7! Haha! Sasha, I loved it! It was a very sweet Waltz. Cheryl, amazing choreography!  Work on your technique and, like I said to Jorma, loosen up a little. I can see you guys doing very well!
Valerie: Sorry, Sasha, but like Jorma’s dance, I wasn't too impressed with this. I think you have ability, and definitely so with a dazzling partner like Cheryl Burke, but do I think you're good enough to get her the first DWTSGame trophy? As for now, no, but there's always room for improvement.
Kendall: Man! A hit, a hit, and a miss! Please head up to Brittany for your scores!

Brittany begins talking as Sasha and Cheryl arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thank you, Kendall! Sasha, I need to tell you, I had a HUGE crush on you as JR Beaumont on Dallas! Haha! Do you think you still have a faithful fanbase from the show, even though it ended 21 years ago?
Sasha: Thanks for the compliment, and great question! I’d definitely love to believe that I still have a raging fanbase from my Dallas days. Since that’s probably not entirely true, I’m gonna have to rely on my dancing skills to keep me going!
Brittany: Don’t worry! I think you’ll be just fine! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

Valerie Hashburntar: 5

TOTAL: 19/30

Brittany: 19 points! Great scores, and we can’t wait to see them go nowhere but up! Haha! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thank you ever so muchly, Brittany! Our next celebrity is one of our most talked about this season. She is a famous sitcom actress, known for her roles as Fran Lovett from Happily Divorced and as Fran Fine from the hit 90’s show, The Nanny. But that’s not why she’s so talked about! No. It’s because she is the first contestant EVER to have participated on a previous season of the game, having been in Season 3 when it was infamously cancelled. Re-partnered with a new pro this season, will she do as well as she did three years ago? Let’s see! Its actress Fran Drescher and her partner, newbie Tristan MacManus!

In Fran’s video, we see clips from The Nanny and Happily Divorced, as well as a clip from Saturday Night Fever. Everyone is more interested to see clips of Fran competing in Season 3 of the DWTSGame, with Tony Dovolani, before the season was cancelled. Tristan, who is excited to finally be a pro on the game, is excited to work with Fran, saying that she’s picking up the choreography surprisingly well for a woman in her 50’s. Fran laughs as she tells us “the second time’s the charm!”

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Fran Drescher and her partner, Tristan MacManus.

Fran is wearing a medium-length red outfit; Tristan is in a red dress shirt. They dance to “Barbra Streisand” by Duck Sauce. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Hi Fran! It’s so cool to meet someone who’s willing to be on the show twice! Great job! Let’s get the judges’ reactions. Tony?
Tony: Quite a unique dance, that was! What I love about you, Fran, is that you nailed the cheekiness of the Cha-Cha perfectly! You perform so well! Technically, it wasn't terribly messy, but not spotless. So work on that, Tristan, and she'll be golden!
Valerie: Good start! I can tell you have entertainment and comedy sorted, which is great! You need to work on the technique a little, as it can be a little rushed. But for Week 1, I'm impressed!
Natalie: To have you on our game once was awesome, but to have you twice is an honor! I’m glad I get to be here to judge you! This dance wasn’t completely perfect, but you add so much irresistible charisma that it’s hard to have anything negative to say about it! Great job!
Kendall: Awesome comments! Please go up to Brittany!

Brittany begins talking as Fran and Tristan arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thank you, thank you Kendall! Fran, great job out there! Now, would you mind telling us what made you want to come on the show for a second time?
Fran: Honestly it’s because I wanted to finish something I started. I was so thrilled to be on the show three years ago, I was devastated when it was cancelled! I’m so glad to be back now though! I could plotz! Hahahaha!
Brittany: Oh man, I can tell we’re gonna love you, Fran! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 19/30

Brittany: Good grief! Another 19! At least our judges can agree on the same score! Haha! Great job you guys! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Our next contestant tonight is either our show’s #1, most dedicated fan, or one of the best quiz takers I’ve ever met! Just a couple of months ago, when the Become A Contestant quiz was offered to our fans online, he blew all of the other entrants out of the water with his stunning knowledge of our little game! Being paired with a new pro, can he surprise us even more with his dancing skills than his test taking skills? I know I’m anxious to find out! It’s the DWTSGame Become A Contestant contest winner Ryan Lane and his partner, newcomer Natalie Lowe!

In Ryan’s video, we are informed of how Ryan got to become a contestant. He says that he really worked hard to win the contest last season, and is so excited to actually be a part of the show! Natalie is thrilled to be dancing on the show, and is even more excited to get to teach a young person like Ryan how to dance! Ryan surprises Natalie with how well he picks up the intricacy of the Waltz! She thinks he could be a surprise hit!

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Ryan Lane and his partner, Natalie Lowe.

Ryan is in a suit with a white bowtie; Natalie is in a grey Waltz dress with her hair in a bun. They dance to “Waiting Outside The Lines” by Greyson Chance. Once finished, they walk over to Kendall.

Kendall: That was fun to watch! Nice to meet you Ryan! Now, time to get our judges’ take on things. Valerie?
Valerie: Sorry, Ryan, but I wasn't incredibly impressed with the dance. I think you'll be a lot more suited for the fun, quirky dances, because this seemed quite lackluster for me tonight. Sorry!
Natalie: Sadly, I wasn’t incredibly impressed. It may have just been too slow and emotional of a dance for you to tackle Week 1. I think you’ll be more entertaining with a Latin dance next week!
Tony: First, I just have to give props to the band for covering such a beautiful song! Now, Ryan, you've got a lot of work to do technically speaking. The performance was great! You just have to work on your hold and your footwork now. A very nice start for you, though, Ryan.
Kendall: The judges didn’t seem to hate it! Go on up to Brit for your scores! Brittany, up to you!

Brittany begins talking as Ryan and Natalie arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Ken-Ken! Haha! Ryan, I’m sure a lot of people are amazed at your courage for even going out there and dancing. Were you at all nervous about your first performance?
Ryan: Um, yeah, I was totally nervous! But I just sucked it up and imagined everyone was in their underwear! Haha!
Brittany: Not gonna lie. That’s exactly what I did! Haha! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 17/30

Brittany: 17 points! Well, they’re a little lower than you guys probably wanted, but all that means is that there’s tons of room to improve, so good luck! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thank you, Brit-Bran, since we’re coming up with all of our nicknames now! Next up is the talented young actress who has been blazing up the silver screen in tons of blockbuster films over the past year. From playing a kick-ass southern waitress in Drive Angry, to a mental case in The Ward, to Johnny Depp’s love interest in The Rum Diaries, she is certainly making herself heard! Paired with a professional who was shockingly eliminated in Season 4, will they make sure their dancing doesn’t go unnoticed? Its actress Amber Heard and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy!

In Amber’s video, we see clips of all of her recent films, including some action scenes from Drive Angry, a scary scene from The Ward, and a funny moment from her appearance in the movie Zombieland. Val is hesitant to return to the game after being abruptly eliminated with Rihanna from Season 4. He just wants to make sure that this time, something like that doesn’t happen! Upon meeting Amber, Val instantly goes ‘oh yeah!’ as he believes he can make a winner out of her! He is also pleased at how well she is at pacing herself, which he says will help her mounds in the competition! They know their dance will shock the judges – in a good way!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Amber Heard and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

Amber has her hair teased and is in a small black dress; Val is in an unbuttoned black dress shirt. They dance to “Part Of Me” by Katy Perry. Once finished, they walk to Kendall!

Kendall: Holy heck! Haha! Great job, Amber! I know all of the men are rooting for you! Let’s see what the judges thought! Natalie?
Natalie: I really enjoyed it! From the get-go, you seemed to keep up with Val really well, and you also mastered the hip action which some people seem to be lacking in the Cha-Cha. Just watch out for where you place your arms. At some points they tended to go in random areas. Otherwise – it was “da bomb”! Haha!
Tony: I'm all hot and bothered now! Amber and Val, I am dubbing you the Hottest Couple of Season 7! The chemistry between the two of you could set this place on fire! Those hips were hypnotic! Great technique, I have to admit, I'm a little worried about how you fare in Ballroom, though! I hope you stick around, Amber, because I want to see more sizzling hot Latin dances like that!
Valerie: Ladies and gentlemen, DWTSGame Season 7 has officially begun! I am in love with the two of you together. Amber's beautiful; Val's hot! This performance was explosive! Keep it up!
Kendall: I don’t think you could’ve wished for better comments on your first dance if you tried! Congratulations! Up to Brittany, please! Brit?

Brittany begins talking as Amber and Val arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thank you Kendall! Amber, on only Night 1, the judges are calling you hot, sizzling, and “da bomb”! Did you expect the dance to go over THAT well? Haha!
Amber: Obviously. Of course I expected that! It’s all part of my master plan to win over the judges from Week 1! Haha!
Brittany: Yikes! Looks like we have a girl out for blood! Haha! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

Valerie Hashburntar: 8
Natalie Sanders: 7
Tony Klespis: 8

TOTAL: 23/30

Brittany: 23 points! Wow! Not only did you get two 8’s but that earns you the highest score of the night so far! Serious congrats, girlfriend! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Our next contestant, hoping to dazzle you, is someone our Arizonan audience, like Brittany, knows as their current governor. The rest of the nation will remember her from such things as making a best-selling novel about Arizonan living, to infamously pointing her finger at President Obama, to signing a controversial immigration bill into law in 2010. Paired with the man that got 89-year-old Betty White to the semi-finals in Season 5, will her dancing be as hot as her desert lifestyle? Its Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and her partner Corky Ballas!

In Jan’s video, we see numerous clips of her accomplishments as Governor of Arizona, including her opinion on some of her controversies. She hopes that her journey could end up like last season’s Bill Clinton. Corky tells us that if he can get Betty White to the semi-finals, then anything can happen! Upon meeting Jan, Corky tells her it is an honor to dance with a classy lady like her. After a couple of days in practice, Corky is very pleased with her progress. He thinks she’s nailed the Waltz.

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Jan Brewer and her partner, Corky Ballas.

Jan is in a see-through long sleeved yellow dress with brown scarf and her hair in an updo; Corky is in a suit with yellow tie. They dance to “Here Comes The Sun” by George Harrison. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Good job, Governor Brewer! Let’s see what the judges thought of it. Tony?
Tony: I thought the music was a little too fast for the two of you. Jan, you delivered probably the most genuine performance of the night so far. You connected with the music and Corky well...and then forgot everything else. Your hold was actually good, but your footwork was all over the place. Come back next week and try to get the technique a little more solid, please.
Valerie: I like the two of you together, but tonight, honestly, there wasn't much for me to judge. Alas, you made no real mistakes, but that's because there was not much dancing there. Take a few more risks, girl!
Natalie: As I’m sure Brittany will tell you up in the skybox, it is so cool to see my own Governor getting out and risking it on the DWTSGame! Such a risk to take! It looked like you enjoyed yourself, which is good, but the guys are right. You need to get your head in the game next week to stick around, which I hope you do!
Kendall: Hmm, I’m not sure what those comments will do scorewise, so please go up to Brittany! Miss Brannon?

Brittany begins talking as Jan and Corky arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Mr. Schmidt! Natalie’s right, Jan! It’s so cool to see you out here giving it your all on the game! What made you want to do it?
Jan: Well, I just thought “why not?”. It seems like such a fun experience and I’m glad to be representing Arizona in such a fun way!
Brittany: I like those answers! Haha! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 14/30

Brittany: Aww! Only 14 points! Man that really stinks. Sorry you guys! There’s always next week! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Next up is the woman who made us all bust a gut when she lit up the screen as the grotesque, foul-mouthed, no-boundaries, comedic masterpiece you have all come to know as Megan from the 2011 hit chick-flick, Bridesmaids! Aside from this, she has also won a Golden Globe for her role in the CBS show, Mike & Molly! Paired with the runner-up from last season, can she shock us all with her shimmying abilities? Its actress Melissa McCarthy and her partner, Louis van Amstel!

In Melissa’s video, we are shown an array of Melissa’s best moments as Megan from Bridesmaids, including the moment where she blocked her boyfriend from taking his seat on the plane with her surprisingly limber leg. Melissa is so pumped to be on the show! Louis can’t wait to have another season like last season with P!nk! When Melissa meets Louis, it’s love at first sight! She gets along great with Louis and pushes herself really hard to dance a great Cha-Cha! Louis knows she’ll be extremely entertaining at least!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Melissa McCarthy and her partner, Louis van Amstel.

Melissa is in a lime green outfit with curly hair; Louis is in a white dress shirt. They dance to “Evacuate The Dancefloor” by Cascada, with traffic cones and police tape surrounding the floor. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: That was SO funny! Haha! Let’s see if the judges agree. Valerie?
Valerie: I loved that Cha-Cha! Melissa, you're fun and fabulous – just oozing personality! Maybe it wasn't all there on technique, but personally, for me, it didn't matter because the Cha-Cha-Cha is about fun and that's what you gave me!
Natalie: I agree with Valerie! If you stick around, you, by far, will be the funniest lady we’ve ever had on here! Haha! Now, onto this dance, it was a hoot! I just was a little concerned that you were forcing a few of the moves. You need to let the rhythm flow through you so you dance effortlessly next time! I still loved it, though!
Tony: I do agree with Valerie, you have a huge personality, Melissa! But that was one crazy, hectic ride of a Cha-Cha-Cha. You may have the potential to be great, Melissa, I do think that! Technically, it was just so messy. I think you did manage to put a little cheekiness into it, but Louis, you've got to really get her into shape if the two of you want to stick around!
Kendall: Well, two out of three seemed to really like it! Please head on up to Brittany for your scores! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Melissa and Louis arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! Melissa, that was the funnest dance of the night! You looked like you were having a blast! Were you?
Melissa: Absolutely! It’s just so freeing to even be on that stage. You just have to go all out because you never know when you’ll be leaving! I had such a fun time!
Brittany: Luckily you won’t have to worry about leaving this week! Let’s get your scores.

TOTAL: 18/30

Brittany: 18 points! Those scores seem good! Can’t wait to see more of you next week! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thank you Brittany! Next up tonight is a very suave and dashing British actor, if I do say so myself. From working alongside actresses such as Viola Davis, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, and Kiera Knightly, to being nominated for an Academy Award, this guy has become marvelously accomplished! When we put him with our feisty Russian redhead who got President Clinton to the semi-finals, how will he fair himself? Its actor Clive Owen and his partner Anna Trebunskaya!

In Clive’s video, we see many clips of his most successful films, including a scene from his Oscar-nominated role in Closer. Clive is both petrified and excited to be on the show! Anna, who is still reeling from her success with former President Bill Clinton last season, thinks Clive could be a serious contender! Clive is picking up the Waltz very well and Anna is amazed!

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Clive Owen and his partner, Anna Trebunskaya.

Clive is in a suit and tie; Anna is in a see-through purple dress. They dance to “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Smashing performance, Clive. Just ravishing! Let’s see if the judges threw their hats for it, as well! Natalie?
Natalie: Clive, you are the sexiest British man I’ve ever seen! Hubba, hubba! Haha! You danced the Waltz with amazing and marvelous grace. You connected with Anna effortlessly. Anna, whatever you’re doing, keep it up! I can see you guys going far!
Tony: For me, this was the best Waltz of the night so far! Anna, you've got a serious contender on your hands here! What I love about you, Clive, is that you seemed so at home in this dance. Your posture was great; your footwork could be a little better, but man! I am looking forward to seeing more of the two of you!
Valerie: I tell you what's strange, Clive, is that I didn't expect to like your dancing tonight. I don't know why, I just didn't think you'd be good. But you were!
Kendall: I think we’re in for some good scores! Please go to Brittany up there! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Clive and Anna arrive to the skybox.

Brittany
: Thank you Kendall! Clive, you danced that Waltz effortlessly. How far do you want to go in the competition?
Clive: Well obviously I would love to win! But if not, I am definitely aiming for top 4, top 5, or so! I just want to make Anna proud after having such a well-liked partner last season!
Brittany: I’m sure you already have! Let’s get your scores.

Brittany: 22 points! Second highest score of the night! I know I’m proud of you, Clive! Congrats! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thank you Brittany! Our next contestant is one of today’s hottest rappers. His Spanish flavor and fresh rhythm have captivated the entire world to make him known as Mr. Worldwide. Paired with the fire-hot professional dancer who we’ve not seen since Season 4, will his dancing set the floor ablaze? Let’s see! Its rapper Pitbull and his partner, Jeanine Mason!

In Pitbull’s video, we see clips from a few of his craziest music videos, including “Rain Over Me” and “I Know You Want Me”. Pitbull thinks his latin style will bring an advantage to his latin dances. Jeanine is excited to be returning to the ballroom after two absences! She is so pleased when she meets Pitbull. She knows he has what it takes to go far! After just mere hours of learning to Cha-Cha, Jeanine is squealing from amazement! Pitbull hopes he pleases the judges!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Pitbull and his partner, Jeanine Mason.

Pitbull is in a black vest; Jeanine has curly hair and is in a short dark blue outfit. They dance to “Hangover” by Taio Cruz featuring Flo Rida. Once finished, they walk to Kendall

Kendall: Go Pitbull! That cha-cha was muy, muy caliente! Let’s see if the judges agree. Tony?
Tony: Well, the song was great for the two of you, but Jeanine just seemed to dance around you, Pitbull! Very stiff; hips were okay. "Loosening up" seems to be a reoccurring theme tonight, but it's the first week, so it's completely understandable. It was a good effort, now just come back next week and wow us!
Valerie: This was a good first dance for you. I enjoyed it! A lot of fun and personality, which surprised me! You and Jeanine seem like a fun and kooky pair that, with a lot of work, can go a long way! Well done!
Natalie: Well P, where the dance lacked in technique, you made up for with entertainment, which helped! But please leave the cockiness in training and not on the floor! It sort of turned me off from the dance. Just buckle down a little next week with your ballroom dance and I’m sure you’ll do even better than tonight!
Kendall: Hmm… Some mixed comments. Go up to Brittany to see how the scores turn out. BB?

Brittany begins talking as Pitbull and Jeanine arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thank you, Candle! Haha! Now, Pitbull, what do you have to say about Natalie calling you cocky?
Pitbull: Eh, I’m just trying to impress everyone, and you definitely know you won’t impress everyone! I’m fine with it. I’ll just work harder next week like she says and hopefully she’ll see an improvement.
Brittany: I can’t wait to see that, P! Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 20/30

Brittany: 20 points! Tony ended up giving the lowest paddle, surprisingly! Good job, you two! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks Brit! Next up is the daughter of one of the most popular directors of the 20th century. Her father is the man behind the magic that you have come to know as The Godfather. She, herself, was an extra in the third film, and she has also ventured off into her own career as a director, becoming the first American woman to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Director. Paired with one of our faithful pros, will her dancing receive similar acclaim? Its director Sofia Coppola and her partner, Alec Mazo!

In Sofia’s video we see a clip of her in Godfather Part 3, and then some clips of the movies she’s directed, such as the Oscar-winning Lost In Translation. She knows she will be completely out of her comfort zone, but wants to give dancing a try. Alec hopes to get to the finals again after going home first last season! When they first meet, Alec is surprised that he got such a famous partner. He just hopes that she will dance as good as she directs. From the looks of it, Sofia and Alec may just be the most surprising couple of the season!

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Sofia Coppola and her partner, Alec Mazo.

Sofia is in a lavender/flower-print dress with a tulip in her hair; Alec is in a suit with light pink tie. They dance to “Le Festin” by Camille. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Good job, Ms. Coppola! Let’s see what the judges thought! Valerie?
Valerie: I actually quite liked you, Sofia! It was polished, refined, and all round beautiful! A little rough around the edges, but clean that up and I see you going far!
Natalie: I’m not so sure of what to say. It looked like a valiant effort, but the thing that got me was that you had a virtually unshakable nervousness during the dance. I could see it on your face! Please just forget about us next time and have fun! That’s really all that we want to see!
Tony: Well, I thought it was classy! I was transported to a small little cafe in Paris, sipping coffee by the Seine with this Waltz! A lot of technical problems, but, like Valerie said, get a little more polish on everything and you'll be going far!
Kendall: All and all, not such bad comments! Please go up and get your scores! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Sofia and Alec arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! Sofia, the judges detected a little nervousness coming from you out there, but how do you feel things went?
Sofia: Uh, of course I was nervous! Who wouldn’t be? Haha! But yes, I’m going to listen to the judges and hopefully next week I won’t be as shy!
Brittany: I’m sure you’ll do great, Sofia! Let’s get your scores.

TOTAL: 18/30

Brittany: 18 points! I know it may not seem like much, but you guys should be proud! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thank you Brittany! Our next contestant tonight is one of the nation’s most popular new football players! He has been playing football since an early age, even being on the college team for Oklahoma State University. It wasn’t until he was one of the first round drafts for the 2010 NFL Draft, signing with the Dallas Cowboys, that he received national media attention! With our Australian bombshell, will he be as light as is feet on the dancefloor as he is on the football field? It’s NFL Quarterback Dez Bryant and his partner, Kym Johnson!

In his video, we see some media coverage from his most memorable moments with the Dallas Cowboys. Dez says he is psyched to be on the DWTSGame and hopes he can do the athletic community proud! Kym hopes she can reach the finals, saying that she misses getting to do her Freestyles! Once she sees Dez, Kym is instantly giddy with joy, as she got fellow NFL alumni Daunte Culpepper to the finale of Season 45. With a Cha-Cha to an energetic song, Kym thinks Dez is the perfect package!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Dez Bryant and his partner, Kym Johnson.

Dez is in a grey dress shirt; Kym has frizzy hair and is in a short white outfit. They dance to “Wild Ones” by Flo Rida featuring Sia. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall
: Hell yeah! Awesome start to the season for you guys! Let’s hear what the judges have to say. Natalie?
Natalie: That was one of the most entertaining dances we’ve seen all night! I can tell that you’re going to charm us all in the weeks to come, Dez! You were fun, you seemed light on your feet, and you connected with Kym! I can tell she finally got the partner she deserves!
Tony: Kym, you have done it again! And Dez! I was a bit iffy about you, but you've surprised me! I loved the rumba-esque beginning the dance had! Dez, you kept up with Kym so well! I would have liked to see a little more modern Cha-Cha-Cha in it, but you brought a smile to my face, Dez! I want to see more of you!
Valerie: Dez, you are officially one of my favorite stars this season. I really enjoyed this, and I see you going far if you dance like this, so a very good job!
Kendall: Like the rest of the audience, the judges loved it! Please go up to Brittany for your scores! B?

Brittany begins talking as Dez and Kym arrive to the skybox.

Brittany
: Thanks Kendall! So, Dez, being an NFL star, we weren’t completely sure of where you’d place. We’ve had people like Daunte Culpepper, people like Hank Baskett, and people like Deion Sanders. Do you think you’ll manage to be as well as Daunte?
Dez: Well, I got his partner, so I think that’s a good place to start! Hah! It’s all about the fans. If they want you gone, you’re gone! I’m hoping mine will keep me on here for a while!
Brittany: We do too, Dez! Let’s get your scores.

TOTAL: 21/30

Brittany: 21 points! Call me crazy, but I think the audience members are gonna boo the judges for scoring so low! Haha! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Tonight’s next contestant is one of the most famous directors of all time who directed one of the most critically acclaimed film series of all time. In 1977, this man took us all to a galaxy far, far away when his brainchild masterpiece, Star Wars, released in theaters. Since then, he has also created the Indiana Jones film series and has also earned an estimated networth of $3.2 billion dollars! Paired with a pro that was shockingly eliminated last season, can he take us to another galaxy with his dancing? It’s directing legend George Lucas and his partner, Karina Smirnoff!

In George’s video, we see his earlier accomplishments such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones, the critical acclaim that followed, and how George currently lives quietly on a ranch. He says it will be a bit awkward coming out of the shadows to do something like this, but he is always open for challenges. Karina, who was shockingly eliminated in Week 4 with Justin Timberlake last season, wants to get very far with George this season, whether his scores are fantastic or not. George is struggling with the Waltz, but Karina assures him that he is doing well!

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, George Lucas and his partner, Karina Smirnoff.

George is in a suit with light blue shirt and no tie; Karina has a classy hairdo and is in a dark red Waltz dress. They dance to “Hotel California” by the Eagles. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: How awesome to see the director of Star Wars doing a Waltz to Hotel California! Judges, thoughts? We’ll start with Tony.
Tony: Well what a breath of fresh air! Such a genuine smile on your face, George! I think you were happier about the dance than Karina, however! The Waltz is all about connecting with your partner, and there was little there. As I said, it was a nice routine, although your technique could use some adjustment. You've got a latin dance next week, so I want to see fun, fun, FUN!
Valerie: George, to be honest with you: it wasn't great, but it was an okay start. However, I don't see you heating it up with fire and passion in the dances like the Samba or Jive next week. Sorry!
Natalie: I agree with Val! As cool as it is to see you on our game, it was nothing I’ll be raving about five weeks from now. I think you and Karina need to work on connecting more, because Tony is right. That was a problem area! Good luck next week.
Kendall: Not the greatest comments. Go up to Brittany for your scores, please. Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as George and Karina arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! George, Natalie and Valerie seemed to dislike your dance, but Tony loved the fun you seemed to have. Were you having fun out there?
George: Well, the Waltz is a little slow to being having fun, but to be dancing, yes I was having fun.
Brittany: That’s great to hear, George! Let’s get your scores.

TOTAL: 16/30

Brittany: 16 points! The great news is that you get to come back next week and improve! I can’t wait! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks, B-Bran! Our next dancer is one of the most popular female rappers this country has ever seen. Ever since the release of her first studio album, Pink Friday, she’s an unimaginable career filled with duets with such singers as Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Eminem, and even Madonna! She is paired with the pro that won the first ever season of the DWTSGame! When he gets her as a partner, will he finally make it back to the finals and win another trophy? It’s rapper Nicki Minaj and her partner, Mark Ballas!

In Nicki’s video, we see clips from such music videos as “Super Bass”, “Knockout” and her hilarious appearance in the LonelyIsland song “Do The Creep”. She hopes that she can bring some fresh new hip-hop moves to the floor and that the judges will like it. Mark was a little sad that his last partner Jordin Sparks went home in only Week 3. This season, he wants to stick around much longer. When Nicki and Mark meet, they couldn’t get along better. They are shown having so much fun, and Nicki surprisingly picks up the Cha-Cha easily!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Nicki Minaj and her partner, Mark Ballas.

Nicki has curly pink hair and is in a small silver outfit; Mark is in a short sleeved black dress shirt. They dance to “Starships” by Nicki Minaj, herself. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Wow, Nicki! That was such a cool Cha-Cha! Great job! Let’s see what the judges thought. Val?
Valerie: Nicki, how exciting was this? You're always outrageous, so I didn't know what to expect here, but what I got, I was totally impressed with! You could certainly go a long way in this competition!
Natalie: I loved the mini-storyline you two had going on with this dance. I loved the Cha-Cha part of the dance, but when it segued into hip-hop, it felt a little unneeded. It was still such a cool dance!
Tony: Well, I have to say, I was very surprised when I found out you were going to be here, Nicki! I felt there was a little too much Hip Hop dancing, which was great, but it didn't belong in a Week 1 Cha-Cha. You know how to work the crowd, though, that's for sure!
Kendall: Great comments! Please head on up to Brittany for your scores! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Nicki and Mark arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! Nicki, the judges and the audience both seemed to love the dance. Are you proud of yourself after your performance?
Nicki: I was! I’m so glad the judges loved it. Mark is such a good choreographer and I’m glad I could make him proud, too!
Brittany: Aww! That’s nice of you to say, Nicki! Let’s get your scores.

Brittany: 23 points! I must congratulate you since you’re now tied for first place with Amber and Val! Haha! Great job! Back to you, Kendall!

Kendall: Okay Brittany! Our next star is a woman who has been entertaining you as the tough-as-nails investigator, Olivia Benson, from the very popular show, Law & Order: SVU. Paired with the winner of Season 20, will we be in for a surprise when she travels from the courtroom to the ballroom? Its actress Mariska Hargitay and her partner, Tony Dovolani!

In Mariska’s video, we see some of her best moments as Olivia Benson on SVU. Mariska tells us that although she is almost 50 years old, she should not be counted out! Tony is glad he’s been getting such great partners lately. He hopes this time he will make it to the finals! When Mariska and Tony meet, Mariska blatantly admits she’s scared out of her wits to be dancing, but Tony assures her she’ll do great. He just may be right!

Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Mariska Hargitay and her partner, Tony Dovolani.

Mariska is in a white Waltz dress with her hair in a ponytail; Tony is in a white dress shirt with black vest. They dance to “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Alright! Great job, Mariska! Let’s get the judges thoughts. Natalie?
Natalie: You really swept me away with that dance! I didn’t expect you to be so graceful on Night One. But, you need to work on your approach of the dance. It seemed a little too light to be a Waltz. It was still great though!
Tony: So elegant, so graceful. What I loved about you Mariska is that you had this ease of motion through your dancing. Your technique wasn't perfect, but that is to be expected for Week 1. You've got great musicality, which I wasn't expecting. Stunning!
Valerie: Mariska, I get a vibe off of you which makes me think you could go a long, long way in this competition! You were as classy as your mother, Jayne Mansfield, so it took me back to the 50’s with that elegant gown! Keep it up!
Kendall: Great comments! Head on up to B, please! Brit?

Brittany begins talking as Mariska and Tony arrive to the skybox.

Brittany
: Thanks Kendall! Mariska, you rocked the Waltz. Now, how well do you think you’ll do next week with a latin dance?
Mariska: I at least hope I do okay! People could count me out because I’m almost 50, but I’m here to prove them wrong!
Brittany: Age ain’t nothing but a number, girl! Haha! Let’s get your scores.

Kendall: Alright! Two dances left tonight! Our next contestant is one of Hollywood’s… most unique actors. From dramas, to comedies, to COUNTLESS action films, this man has really cemented his name in showbiz! Dancing with one of our most creative female pros, how will he do tonight? Its actor Nicolas Cage and his partner, Edyta Sliwinska!

In Nicolas’s video, we see clips from many of his action films, as well as a clip of him winning his 1995 Best Actor Oscar! He says he’s pumped to be a part of the game and wants to go far! Edyta had a blast last season with Morgan Freeman, she hopes with Nicolas, she has just as much fun. When they meet, Nicolas and Edyta instantly have a ball in training! They can’t wait to dance the Cha-Cha!

Voiceover: Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, Nicolas Cage and his partner, Edyta Sliwinska.

Nicolas is in a red dress shirt; Edyta is in a small, skimpy red outfit. They dance to “Goodbye Stranger” by Supertramp. Once finished they walk to Kendall!

Kendall: Haha! Nic, great job! You’re one cool dude! Do the judges agree? Tony?
Tony: I'm a little confused, actually. The song and the dance didn't seem to gel that well for me. Technique, musicality, performance, all of them were not there, sadly. I really hope you can come back and show us what you've got next week with a ballroom dance.
Valerie: I wasn't incredibly impressed. I think you'll be more of a ballroom guy, or I certainly hope so, because this wasn't great.
Natalie: Although you definitely have A LOT to work on, I thought this dance was crazy and silly enough to enjoy! It was a mess and all over the place, but fun! Come back next week, clean up, and I can see you doing well!
Kendall: Well, those comments are nice! Please go up to Brittany! B?

Brittany begins talking as Nicolas and Edyta arrive to the skybox.

Brittany
: Thanks Kendall! Nicolas, as Natalie said, that dance was so silly! Do we have more funny dances to look forward to from you?
Nicolas: Uh, I’m not sure if I should… Maybe once I make Week 5, I’ll start acting like a complete goof every week!

He’s since been the star of 3rd Rock from the Sun, (500) Days of Summer, Inception, and 50/50. He pairs with the woman who sexed up Season 4 with Zac Efron until they were surprisingly sent home. Joseph is in a suit with brown tie; Peta is in a light brown dress with a frilly skirt. They dance to “You Really Got A Hold On Me” by She & Him. Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: Wow, Joe! That was so great! Let’s get the judges comments, starting with Valerie!
Valerie: I'll admit it. This was really good! I certainly think this was a good way to end the night! I can't wait to see more of you!
Natalie: You wanna know what sucks? We had to wait until THE LAST TEN MINUTES of the show to see this dance! Joseph, wow! You moved so effortlessly and glided across the floor with Peta like you were a pro as well. For Week 1, I’m very impressed!
Tony: GREAT finish to the night, Joseph! You had the best posture of the night! Like Anna has with Clive, Peta, you've got a contender on your hands! Just work on your footwork and give me a show-stopping Jive next week!
Kendall: Wow! Rave reviews for tonight’s last dance! Go up to Brittany for your scores, please! Brittany?

Brittany begins talking as Joseph and Peta arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! And WOW! Joseph Gordon-Levitt! I wanna ask, do you think your small amount of dance experience helps you on this show?
Joseph: Hah! I’d like to think it gives me an edge, but really, dancing on here is such a different style! It’s really anyone’s game, no matter how experienced they are with dancing!
