Kendall Schmidt (voiceover): Last week, the ballroom travelled westward for Country Week and perfection was achieved, not once, but TWICE and underdogs earned their highest scores to date!  With only one day to complete voting for an early elimination, the ballroom sadly said good-bye to Mariska & Tony with Jan & Corky avoiding elimination yet again!

Brittany Brannon (voiceover): This week, the DWTSGame heads to the opposite side of the music world with the smooth songs and styles of Rhythm and Blues for R&B Week!  From Aaliyah to TLC and Destiny’s Child, what will our stars produce tonight?  We’ll have to see!  LIVE! This is Dancing With The Stars!
The opening sequence is shown. Jan and Corky do an elegant spin. Dez and Kym do a fierce, sexy pose. Nicolas and Edyta spin and smile. Sofia and Alec twirl delicately. Fran and Tristan do a few quick cheeky moves. Joseph and Peta perform a spin-lift. We look down on Mariska and Tony from an above-view camera. Amber and Val do a hot and sultry pose. Ryan performs a Tango hold with Natalie. George stands provocatively with Karina on his shoulder. Melissa comically throws her leg over Louis’s leg from behind him. Nicki kicks her leg up and Mark catches it in his hand. Sasha does a smooth pose with Cheryl. Clive twirls Anna in a 360-degree spin. Pitbull nods his head and dances casually behind Jeanine. Jorma holds Joy in a Tango pose. Lindsey kicks her leg over Derek’s arm and leans forward. Kristen does a Cha-Cha spin with Maksim. The DWTSGame logo is then show.

Brittany: Hello, and welcome to the DWTSGame! I’m Brittany Brannon!

Kendall: And I’m Kendall Schmidt!  We have one of our biggest anticipated theme weeks this week!  Everyone will be dancing to hit R&B songs for R&B WEEK!

Brittany: So, in our usual manner: Audience, help make some noise and welcome our fabulous stars!

The stars come down the moving staircases in this order: Sasha Mitchell, Fran Drescher, Amber Heard, Jan Brewer, Dez Bryant, Nicki Minaj, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Kendall: Looks like we’ve got a smooth operating cast here!  Get it?  Sade?  R&B?  Anyway!  Who do we have first tonight Britt?

Brittany: Up first, it’s the crowd pleasing actress who wowed the ballroom and our Head Judge with a touching Viennese Waltz, but left two judges saying her routine was less than perfect.  This week, can she set the mood with her partner and the ever-so-sexy Rumba and win over our judges?  It’s actress Fran Drescher and her partner Tristan MacManus!

In Fran’s video, she lets everyone know how happy she is to have made it past the halfway mark.  Fran is a little frustrated that she cannot seem to break out of the pack, so she tells Tristan to give her everything for their Rumba.  Fran aims to please this week, and she thinks she can do it with her steamy rumba!

Voiceover: Dancing the Rumba, Fran Drescher and her partner, Tristan MacManus.

Fran is in a purple body suit with rhinestones and a light purple drape around her body with her hair in a bun.  Tristan is in a see-through purple shirt with white pants.  They dance to “At Your Best (You Are Love)” by Aaliyah.  Once finished, they walk Kendall by the judge’s table.
Kendall: Well if that didn’t set the mood for America, I don’t know what will!  Before we go to the judges, Head Judge Natalie is on a well-deserved vacation!  Filling her spot to night is guest judge Ethan Ferguson!  Ethan?

Ethan: Your footwork was great; you really got into character, good job!

Tony: I just have to say one little disclaimer!  I’m being super picky towards everyone tonight!  Tonight, Fran, you acted the emotion of the rumba to perfection!  You and Tristan set the mood.  However…Hips, hips, hips Fran.  I saw none.  You are a fantastic dancer; don’t get me wrong, I just feel like you’ve plateaued a little.  Come back and wow me if you’re back next week!

Valerie: Fran that was so endearing!  I really saw the talent you brought out in that routine, it was full of emotion and power and I can’t fault it almost.  I have to say, Aaliyah would be proud!  Well done guys, you rocked!

Kendall: Well not too bad of comments from the judges!  Head on up to Brittany in the skybox.

Brittany begins talking as Fran and Tristan arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks Kendall! Now Fran, you’ve been telling us how you’re an 80’s Diva.  How was it like to get R&B music this week for a change?

Fran: Oh Brittany, it was wonderful!  It’s pushing me out of my comfort zone!  I love being on this show because of that!

Brittany: Well we love having you girlfriend!  Let’s get your scores!
Will the judges please reveal their scores?
Valerie Hashburntar: 9
Ethan Ferguson: 10
Tony Klespis: 8
TOTAL: 27/30
Brittany: That’s 27 points!  Your highest score!  AND your first 10 Fran!  Well-done guys!  Kendall?

Kendall: Thank you, Brittany! Next up tonight is the man that danced showed the judges what he was made of with his Elvis inspired jive, earning his highest score!  Can he keep it up this week with his Waltz?   Its NFL star Dez Bryant and his partner Kym Johnson!

Dez is thrilled to have earned two 9s from the judges for his Jive last week!  Right off the bat, Kym tells Dez that now that she knows he can get 9s, she wants 10s.  Kym is very picky with Dez this week, telling him to do over steps again and again.  Dez can’t blame her because he wants those 10s too!  He hopes he can be absolutely perfect come Wednesday.
Voiceover: Dancing the Waltz, Dez Bryant and his partner Kym Johnson.

Dez is in an all white suit, with a white tie; Kym has wavy, let down hair with a white flower pinned above her ear with a feathered white waltz gown.  They dance to “Ave Maria” by Beyoncé.  Once finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: I don’t think there is a dry eye in the ballroom buddy!  I loved it!  Tony?

Tony: I don’t know Dez.  I know you’re a great dancer, but these last two dances I’ve seen from you aren’t what I want to see from you.  I think you’re playing it safe, which I find very surprising because you’re a Football player!  Kym, give him some harder choreography because he can do it!

Valerie: Dez, this was a great performance!  It’s surprising to see your soft side, but you really pulled it out of the bag and I can’t say much bad about it all, you rocked the routine and well done, man, because it was a performance that I think will secure your place on the show for a long time.  Well done!

Ethan: It was beautiful!  Your hold was good, keep the work up!

Kendall: Well two out of three ain’t bad right?  Head on up you two.

Brittany begins talking as Dez and Kym arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thanks, Kendall! So Kym was drilling you this week, Dez.  Do you want to win this as much as Kym does?

Jan: Oh Brittany!  Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes!  And Kym, if Tony wants harder choreography, we’ll give it to him!

Brittany: I think I new the answer before I asked!  Haha!  Scores, please!

Will the judges please reveal their scores?
Valerie Hashburntar: 9
Ethan Ferguson: 9
Tony Klespis: 8
TOTAL: 26/30
Brittany: Well another 26, tying with your highest score Dez!  Great job!  Back to you Ken!

Kendall: Thanks Brit!  Our next star avoided elimination for the third time in the bottom with her Quickstep!  Can she avoid that dreaded place again with a Brandy inspired Paso Doble?  It’s Arizona Govenor Jan Brewer and her partner Corky Ballas!

In Jan’s Video, she tells Corky that she’s very surprised to have made it as far as she has.  Jan admits that her body is tired and aching, but she has to go out and give it her all for everyone that has voted for her.  Corky tells the audience that Jan is a trooper and he and Jan won’t give up until Kendall and Brittany say they’ve been eliminated!

Voiceover: Dancing the Paso Doble, Jan Brewer and her partner Corky Ballas.

Jan’s hair is let down and curled; she is in a black and gold paso cape skirt with a black jacket on.  Corky is wearing a black suit with a gold tie.  They dance to “Afrodisiac” by Brandy.  When finished, they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: And a trooper you are Jan!  I thought it was great!  Let’s start with Val this time.

Valerie: Jan, sadly you weren’t really an afrodisiac tonight.  You tried your best with the performance, I saw that, but it wasn’t good darling.  I’m amazed the audience has kept you in for so long, but I do give you credit for trying once again, so well done.

Ethan:  It was not your best dance.  You lost character and timing a few times.  Better luck next time.

Tony: This is tough.  You put so much hard work into this competition; I can see it in the VTs.  Unfortunately it just doesn’t convey to the dance floor.  Valerie is right, I give you credit, and I hate to say this, but I think your time is up.

Kendall: Well the audience loved it Jan!  Don’t let them get you down!  Head on up!

Brittany begins talking as Jan and Corky arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Jan, Corky said it in the package: you are a trooper!  Do you want to say anything to Corky?

Jan: Oh I love this man.  He gives me so much confidence.  I know I’m not the best, but as long as he’s happy, I’m happy.

Brittany: Aw, how sweet was that?  Let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?
Valerie Hashburntar: 6
Ethan Ferguson: 6
Tony Klespis: 5
TOTAL: 17/30

Brittany: 17 out of 30 for you two.  I know they aren’t the scores you want to see, I’m sorry!  Back to you Kendall.

Kendall: Thanks Brittany!  Next on the floor is the woman that had the judges raving, and one even went so far to call her the Comeback Kid!  And rightly so I might add as she scored the second perfect 30!  Can she keep perfection up tonight with her Jive!  It’s actress Amber Heard and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy!

In the confessional, Amber shouts and squeals with delight over earning a perfect 30.  In training, Amber has some trouble picking up the choreography.  She lets the audience know that her ankle still hasn’t quite healed, and the Jive isn’t helping.  Val decides to take some time off and get some massages for the two of them.  Afterwards, Amber is reenergized and ready to Jive!

Voiceover: Dancing the Jive, Amber Heard and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Amber is in a bubble gum pink 50s skirt with white polka dots and a white top with a pink scarf.  Her hair is in a ponytail and a huge bun on her forehead.  Val is in pink plaid pants and a white short-sleeved button up with a bowtie and glasses.  They dance to Janelle Monae’s “Tightrope”.  Once finished they walk to Kendall.

Kendall: WOW!  You two just never cease to amaze us!  Great job!  Ethan?

Ethan: I am just speechless after watching that dance!

Tony: I said at the beginning of the show I’m going to be hard on everyone tonight.  I’m picking nits and I have to say it was a little slow to start.  I know this isn’t the best jive song, and you made it work.  I just think you could have started the dance a little sooner than you did.  I love you Amber, you know I want you in the Finals; I just have to be honest.

Valerie: Ignore Tony! WOW, girl, you ROCKED!  This was a wonderful routine and I think you’ve made a huge comeback to this show.  I think that’s a dance I can see being repeated in the final, well done!

Kendall: Great comments guys!  I loved it!  Head on up to Brittany for your scores!

Brittany begins talking as Amber and Val arrive to the skybox.

Brittany: Thank you, Kendall! Now Amber, you got a perfect 30 last week.  How much pressure did you and Val put on yourselves to get another 30?

Amber: Oh gosh!  So much pressure!  Everything had to be flawless, and Val was tough in rehearsals!

Brittany: I bet!  Well, lets see if you could repeat that 30 tonight?

Will the judges please reveal their scores? Valerie Hashburntar: 10
Ethan Ferguson: 10
Tony Klespis: 9

TOTAL: 29/30
Brittany: 29 points!  Well, it was almost perfect!  Who needs Tony?  Haha!  Back to you Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks Brit, next up is the rap diva who once again impressed in a performance that was completely out of her dimension, but she can rock anything! It’s rapper Nicki Minaj and her partner Mark Ballas!
In Nicki’s VT she talks about how she is proud to overcome the R&B singer curse and to get to R&B week is a huge deal for her. She hopes to prove to people that she can send a message to single women everywhere with her sexy Samba!

Voiceover: Dancing the Samba, Nicki Minaj and her partner Mark Ballas.

Nicki is wearing a futuristic, metallic dress with her pink hair in a bun. Mark is wearing no shirt with bagged jeans, relating to the story of the song, which is ‘No Scrubs’ by TLC. When finished, they walk to Kendall.
Kendall: Guys, that was HOT! And I’m sure our judges will agree, right?

Ethan: Your hips were moving so in sync with Mark! For me, the best dance of the series!

Tony: I know I'm going to be horribly booed tonight, but I didn't feel this samba that much.  Technically, you were fantastic, as you have been now Nicki.  It's just...this samba was so slow.  There wasn't a lot of energy that we need to see in the Samba.  The speed of the song worked against you, I think.

Valerie: Nicki, this dance was just so for you! Oh my god, your female empowerment through the story got across, you really don't want any scrubs and I could see that! That for me is the best dance so far, well done, I think you're gonna go places in this show.

Kendall: Brilliant comments as always, you guys! Up you go for your scores!

Brittany begins talking as Nicki and Mark arrive at the skybox.
Brittany: So Nicki, as an R&B singer, do you feel you have an advantage this week?

Nicki: Oh, god, absolutely not! I’d like to think so but it’s not the case, I struggled so much with this dance but I did it for Left Eye and I did it for all my barbs, so I hope I did you guys proud!

Brittany: Well let’s get those scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?
Valerie Hashburntar: 10
Ethan Ferguson: 10
Tony Klespis: 9
TOTAL: 29/30

Brittany: Jeez, Tony was right in his disclaimer! Back to you, Kendall.

Kendall: Thanks, Brit! Next up is the man who received an encore last week for performing a routine that took him back to his glory days! But can he stay near the top tonight? It’s Dallas hunk Sasha Mitchell and his partner Cheryl Burke!

In his VT, Sasha admits he’s completely gone off-board with his routine this week, and finds the R&B theme a lot harder. Cheryl takes a risk with the choreography by using a song more usually used for a Samba and using it for a Quickstep, as she wants to push Sasha to his extremes.
Voiceover: Dancing the Quickstep, Sasha Mitchell and his partner Cheryl Burke.

Sasha is wearing a green suit. Cheryl is wearing a short, lime green dress. The pair is dancing to Amerie’s ‘One Thing’. Once finished they walk to Kendall.
Kendall: Well, guys, you continue to blow us away! Judges, do you agree?

Ethan: You lost your footing near the end but overall it was a good job.

Tony: It's funny, because, again, I think the song worked against you two.  If you would have given this song to Nicki for her Samba, I would have given her a 10.  Valerie is right; it wasn't exactly your week this week, Sasha.  There were a few missteps and a few flubs with the footwork.  If you're back next week, I hope you get a better son g, and I hope you can come back all guns blazing!

Valerie: Well done, Sasha! Personally, I didn't think this was completely the week for you, but you did your best and I sensed that, so well done and keep going because I feel you definitely are a great dancer and you show that in your technique, just brush up on the performance.

Kendall: Well, guys, it’s not awful! Up you go!

Brittany begins talking as the pair reaches the skybox.
Brittany: Well, guys, what a performance! Cheryl, how do you feel about the comments Tony made about the song choice?

Cheryl: It’s a completely valid point. But I love taking risks so I’m happy with getting to give it to Sasha, as I know he can do it.

Brittany: Well let’s get your scores.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

TOTAL: 25/30

Brittany: Well, it’s still pretty good! Back to Kendall!

Kendall: Thanks Brittany, our final individual couple is the ’10 Things I Hate About You’ star who ended up scoring three tens last week! It’s Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd!

In Joseph’s VT, he helps Peta with choreographing a story for the routine they have. In their confessionals, Joseph revealed it’s kind of like a love story as well as a drama, and they hope it gets rave reviews!

Voiceover: Dancing the Viennese Waltz, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Joseph is wearing a black suit. Peta is wearing a long white dress. The pair dance to Macy Gray’s ‘I Try’. Once finished they walk over to Kendall.

Kendall: Wow, what a story! Over to the judges.
Ethan: Your movements were so beautiful that i could feel the emotion in the dance. Again what I said to Nicki, best dance of the series.
Tony: Well that's it!  Joseph, you work the crowd so well.  Last week you were on top, but I don't know if that's the case this week.  It was a perfectly executed routine, but Peta!  Where was the hold?  About ten seconds of hold and then what?  We know he can dance!  We need to see his frame too!  Just a heads up for your future ballroom dances.
Valerie: What a routine, guys. One moment you were showing love and romance on the balcony, before your heartbreak at the judges' desk. It was a great story from start to finish, I could see this being a sell-out motion picture, well done you guys.
Kendall: Well, up you go to Brittany!

Brittany starts talking as Joseph & Peta get to the skybox.

Brittany
: Well done, guys! So, are you feeling confident about going straight over to the R&B Marathon?
Joseph: I hope so! We’re gonna try our best and that’s what matters.
Brittany: All right, but let’s see your scores for now.

Will the judges please reveal their scores?

Brittany: Woah! Tony! Okay then! Now it’s the R&B Marathon, so let’s see how our stars are getting on together.

All the couples are nervous about the marathon. Nicki hopes she can use the song to her street advantage, as does Dez, but Jan and Fran are finding it hard to keep up.

Back to the stage, and all the couples come onto the stage. Nicki is wearing pink, Sasha is wearing blue, Fran is wearing red, Amber is wearing black, Joseph is wearing white, Jan is wearing green and Dez is wearing red.

Kendall: Okay, let the marathon begin!

All the couples start dancing to Destiny’s Child’s ‘Lose My Breath’.

Round 1 begins. Jan struggles to keep up with everybody. Fran busts some fun moves. Dez uses an impressive lift on Kym. With no surprise, Jan & Corky are first out with 4 points.

Round 2 begins. Amber impresses the crowd as she has a ‘face-off’ with Nicki, while her partners Val and Mark watch on. But it’s Fran, who has a slight fall, who leaves with 5 points.

Round 3 begins. Sasha and Cheryl perform an impressive spin-drop, as Joseph and Peta bust out some hip-hop moves. Sasha & Cheryl leave next with 6 points.

Round 4 begins. Our stars do a fun ‘partner ditch flashback’ as they dance with each other again. But failing to keep up with the last three, Joseph & Peta leave with 7 points.

Round 5 begins. Our three remaining couples dance as they move out on the floor. Our stars start to dance in front of the judges – Amber in front of Len, Nicki in front of Bruno and Dez in front of Carrie-Ann. But Dez & Kym leave with 8 points.

The final round begins. Amber and Nicki carry on with their showdown before they both dance with their partners and perform some impressive lifts. Amber & Val leave with 9 points, and Nicki & Mark leave with 10 points as the winners!

Kendall: Wow, well done Nicki! Judges, what have you gotta say about that!!!
Valerie: Guys, a great job! You all did great but of course Nicki, you rocked it and you really deserved the win because of the power and aggression you put into this street but sweet cha-cha-cha. Well done, girl!
Tony: I just have to say, everyone did an amazing job, but I think in the end, the correct couple won!  It was tough between you and Amber, Nicki, both of you were so amazing tonight!  Everyone was amazing, but Nicki you deserved this!
Kendall: So, all our couples have danced, let’s see those important numbers!
